Public beta terms

Use the signal.
Keep your judgment.

Effective August 22, 2026. These interim beta terms have received internal product, privacy, and security review; independent legal review is planned when funding permits.

Beta scope

PhishCues is pre-release software offered for public testing. Features, availability, storage, and interfaces may change, stop, or be withdrawn. The beta is not an emergency, financial, legal, identity-verification, or cybersecurity-response service.

No safety verdict

PhishCues shows bounded signals and missing evidence. A green field, Gmail mark, low score, Trusted choice, or absent Community Cue does not prove that an email, sender, link, request, or transaction is safe or legitimate. Independently verify sensitive requests through a known channel.

Your choices

Trusted and Suspicious are exact-mailbox choices stored locally. Sharing is separate and must be deliberate. You must not share a report or private preview unless you are authorized to do so and the preview does not expose information you should not disclose.

Acceptable use

Do not use PhishCues to harass, dox, impersonate, publish unlawful content, upload secrets, manipulate report volume, evade access controls, test against accounts you do not control, or treat a Community Cue as a factual accusation.

Community Cues

Cues describe privacy-reviewed report-event patterns for an exact displayed From domain. Publication is a moderation decision, not verification of phishing, identity, ownership, or safety. PhishCues may suppress, correct, or remove a cue and provides a dispute path through Support.

Software license

Source code identified in the public extension repository is licensed under Apache License 2.0. That license does not grant rights to the PhishCues name or logo. Website content, private platform code, private data, credentials, and moderation records are not included unless expressly stated.

Availability and warranty

The beta and website are provided as available and without a promise that every email can be evaluated, every threat can be detected, or the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Changes and termination

PhishCues may suspend access, remove data from active service, or end the beta to protect users, comply with law or platform rules, or address security and abuse. Material term changes will be dated on this page.
